I wanted to format and install windows 7 from USB however with the BIOS locked i couldn't boot from my USB without taking apart the entire laptop to get to the Open command prompt (cmd). the external that windows 7 is installed on will only run if it is plugged into the same port every time. Reply Tanmay : @Andrei: Actually a USB device is not bootable by default and a PC needs to reconize the device as bootable first to get into the installation process.
