I think it has to do something with having the app install location on system drive. When I can get NVidia control panel I notice it keeps switching my PhysX from auto to CPU which is disabling my SLI. On the other hand, if Task Manager does flicker (along with the rest of the screen), it’s probably a display driver that’s causing the problem. You may try these troubleshooting steps in no particular order.
