I was doing a fresh install of windows 7 sp1 on an asus ep121 and I kept on running into this error. problem solved after one year under my bed!! Close Registry Editor and restart your computer. Once Command Prompt opens, enter diskpart and press Enter.
Enter regedit and press Enter to start Registry Editor. I thought I was going to have to send the computer to Toshiba to get the thing fixed.
