I was able to make it work but taking out the USB as soon as the PC was powered down in the reboot phase of the install. For Windows will not install a 64-bit OS on a 32-bit OS. I decided to check the DLink web site to see if there were newer drivers available but I found that the latest drivers were for Vista.
