I did have to restart after each of the updates as it was hanging on the "searching for updates on this computer" After that no problems at all. I am beyond thrilled and so happy to report that windows is updating on its own.I too am saving this link for future reference. No internet and they give up after a minute or two. Windows will also allow you to install updates while restarting or shutting down your computer, so Windows respects your time much more than it used to.
