Are some computers able to join the Homegroup but unable to view other computers and their shared folders? I set the homegroup up on the hardwired box, and then joined the laptop to it.
What is odd is that the wireless connected laptop is on network "RexCity" and the desktop is on "Network 2," but they have the same Ipconfig 192.168.1.x. So it appears the Win7 computer doesn't fully try to discover the network automatically in all cases. I spent hours trying to figure out what went wrong when I finally decided to restore the system to the day prior to the AVG download and presto, now I'm up Can't See Other Computers On Network Windows 8 Reenter your homegroup password.
